I installed NS1 via the link from this website; however, there is no ns.exe installed in my steamapps/ns folder. I've tried resetting my steam, so that it might refresh under games, but nothing has changed. I've tried creating the shortcut with the script provided and still nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

Is half life 1 downloaded and verified? The game uses that for its exe. Your ns folder should be inside the HL folder.

I'd try the google drive link and follow the readme if you haven't.

so I just installed HL, moved my NS folder into the HL folder under steamapps/common, and restarted steam. It loads!
