------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello to everyone,

I am creating this post to say out loud that the way things are handle concerning my friend Bakounet are

unacceptable and that we are losing sight of what is essential in this community.

Who are those people who ban other persons without any good reason… Derision is not the strong suit

of this community and moreover of those admins…

Who are those people who can fire other people as they wish. I do accept my situation, yes I fooled

around singing on Teamspeak a night of gather, I was punished for that fortunately…

But after that other players took my defense asking as a joke to free me. Bakounet which is a loyal friend

went on a server during a live match and screamed “Free Pipo”. How could it be seen as mean, where

is the provocation? We are not in a publicized or remunerated game, we are between gamers. And this

community knows when a situation is just funny. It is not something that should be reprehended but

encouraged. Since when being loyal to a friend is punished by a one week ban. That’s insane! Games

always went well; we never have fundamentals issues during the lives. A friend is just trying to defend

me and he is ban for one week! It is a dictatorship, who are those admins? You’ve just created your first

martyr!

If you want to start a giant thread saying why you think a ban is wrong, I don't care.

If you want to message each other on steam conveying your thoughts, I don't care.

But when you have multiple people join servers, during matches, to disrupt them. I care and you get punished for that.

Basically you were DRUNK and acted like an asshole during a gather. An admin banned you from gathers for ONE day. Then you continued to be an asshole and wrote a whole bunch of nonsense in the Shoutbox and the same admin banned for you 2 weeks. I stepped in because even I thought that was excessive and REDUCED your ban to 1 week. SEVEN days. We all agreed that it was a just ban for what you did.

Your friend, today, went into an official match and interfered with it. I'm fine with a temp ban for him. I don't care how much nonsense you and your friends post on the forums, in the shoutbox, etc... even if it is childish and irritating. What I will not tolerate is when people interfere and disrupt official matches. It's rude, immature, and really shows a massive lack of respect for your fellow players. If you think my actions to people in this community who act like that is akin to a dictatorship, maybe you need to reevaluate your level of sportsmanship.

TL:DR - Don't act like an asshole. Be nice to your fellow players.

I did not.
Fortunatly it was a Div 1 match, no one banned in lower division.

But dont worry i dont care about my personnal ban, i just wanted to show your abuse of admin power (u and izo mostly).
Mission succeed.

Banning Loulebe because he doesnt want to command after 5H of commanding in a raw? Not an abuse.

Banning ppl for rules not in rules? Not an abuse.

Accepting game report for your friends/country but not for other? not an abuse.

Insulting a whole country (izo if u read it) with in game voice and banning a guy who answer to you? Not an abuse.

I agree with u Zefram, we, players, dont have to act like an asshole. But admin aswell.

Remember players make the community, not just admins.

I miss swalk as admin.

Not even sure where half these accusations come from considering that I personally lifted Loulebe's ban because I felt that was clearly wrong to be banned for not wanting to command and then asked izO to initiate a rewrite of the gather rules to be much more clear about what should happen if there are teams that are commanderless. And the rest, well I don't even know what you're referring to.

The funny thing about all this drama is admins can't agree on the judgment. What I have read about differents admins is "kick was enough" "Ban is a bit too much for this little thing" etc...

My honnest opinion is that you guys should relax on bans and maybe make some clear rules. Someone says that happens cuz it was premiere div match and won't happen on a div4 match, I agree and i don't think it's normal that premier div have "better look up" than other divs. But anyways....

tbh I agree with this sentence, myb it's a bit too much (I mean, 1 week) but ppl shouldn't join officials matches to spam bullshit (even if they think it's funny).

Premier .. div 4. Does not matter to me. I have a record of consistently applying the rules in the same fashion across all divisions and across all regions. In fact, I'm harder on my team than any other when it comes to following the rules. It wouldn't have even mattered to me if it wasn't casted, it only makes the evidence more readily available.

At first, Pipo was banned for two days for gather issue. After a message in the shoutbox I don't know why you added an additional week. I know a little Pipo & he only was a bit drunk. He didn't spam the shoutbox. He was just I think a bit angry as you can see in the shoutbox, why? Because he was banned.

Look ur rules
_________________
I hate speech: Offensive terms such as "faggot" or "nigger" may or may not be bannable based on context of the sentence. If they were meant as humor with absolutely no offensive intentions, the user may or may not be punished. This rule is completely, 100% subjective and up to the moderator reading your shout. Use at your own peril.

Consequences for breaking the rules

Consequences may range from temporary to permanent shoutbox bans, depending on what rule was broken and how it was broken.
_______________

If we follow it Pipo should be banned on shoutbox and not on gathers...
It's was his first ban by the way.

For Bakounet.
I don't know to be honest.

He overreacted to a temporary ban and made it worse by protesting it in a childish manner. He then got his friends together to protest which caused bans and other drama outside of himself in a giant chain of overreacting to a very small punishment.. 1 day..

Sounds like a selfish asshole that deserved the ban and should think about his actions next time before overreacting.

Well deserved, long live the evil admins.

Hum not really. Actually this topic is about Bakou's ban not the Pipo's one. I dont think I'm wrong if I say everyone agree about Pipo's ban (even himself).
Btw that's not a 1day ban but a 1week ban.

Are you talking about Pipo or Bakou ? Idk Bakou, but I think I know Pipo. Donnate for the community, that's not what I call being selfish... Moreover everyone is an asshole for someone :)

Re,

Re,

My dear Locklear, be careful with the terms you are employing.
You know there are rules.
They are applying as much on the over exposed “PGM” than on the players of this community.
Would you risk to be ban for the officials games?

The term "asshole" is a word as strong as “fuck you”, isn’t it?

Dear Admins,

How do you think you are, sincerely?
I was ban during a gather for two weeks.

In a year and a half, I’ve never encountered any problems on a gather.

And yet games were I was “drunk and acting as an asshole” were numerous but I won’t stop.

I’ve never encountered fundamentals issues with people, quite the contrary…

I just want to pass on a message concerning Bakounet’s ban not mine!

This discussion shouldn’t be a problem, on the contrary.

I just want to say : Some of the admin have too much power and they abuse from it.

You should review your politic rapidly and with sincerity, to stay polite.

Bakout would never be disrespectful towards the Godar and the Titus, it’s nothing like him.

Being disrespectful is a two way street.

Who do you think you are?

An elite above the rules.

Don’t forget where you come from!

And frankly, start to shut up!

The truth is only in the Première division. This politic, I “conchie” it.

Try to realize the strength of the words you are using…

On one hand we have a men who just screamed a simple phrase “Free Pipo”, on the other hand we have

people who were insulted…

How should I take it?

Humour :

You should start thinking on how to be a good vigilante: http://www.twitch.tv/zefram0911/c/1888413

Guy what is wrong with you. Stop treating Pipo and his loyal friends as if they were trolls. We all know each other and we all know Pipo is a weird but funny and skilled player who has commited a lot to ns2 and ensl gather. You shouldn't have made such a big thing out of this. There are serveral people who really fucked up gathers with leaving without saying anything or being afk 1 minute after they signed up, i have never seen a ban on them. Now we have Pipo and its friends banned for this? What is wrong with you, this banning appears to be so arbitrary...

We are a community, a really small one, lets not fuck this up because some people are mad because there was a joke on them.

In my opinion joining an official match knowingly to just be annoying deserves a severe ban and it's much more of a big deal than Pipo's ban.

Maybe Bakounet's intention wasn't being disrespectful but he definitely was and there are probably some players on that match who are trying to be serious towards the game and can get upset because of someone's childish attitude.

And while I agree that rules have to be applied equally to every division (and I trust Zefram and the admins on this), Premier Division is the closest to professional gaming we have on NS2 and disrupting one of these matches should be punished very seriously.

No its not even close to professional gaming. Doing something professional means you get money for it and you can live from it. You are not even getting 5€ for winning ensl, we are all here cause we are playing for fun and for the community. Also if players are distracted by this, they may not be as professional as they need to be ;)

Ensl is not a big deal, its a joke compared to leagues in other games if you wanna play so professional and dead searious then just start getting custom passwords for the match-servers when there is a game palyed, but as i imagine it there is no one who will carry out this organization. But still you are all crying for one little joke, this is just stupid.

If anyone wants to play "professional and dead serious" on NS2 it's up to that person and if there's enough people to make it happen you're no one to say anything against it, neither is Bakounet to disrupt the match.

BTW, "Closest to professional" != "Professional". You might want to ask Titus or Snails about the money they earnt on the last LAN. You may say that that's not ENSL, well, I meant to include it when I was referring to Premier Division since Premier teams are the ones who play on those events and seedings on the league do matter for these tournaments.

lol what was it 5k divided by 6 people once a year? I got more from the gigs I played with my band when i was 16 and it was just a hobby (just as ns2 and ensl is, i like it anyway btw.).

Its really sad how arrogant people got when Prem Div started last year.

When I say that Premier division is the closest we have on NS2 to professional gaming is because there's nothing beyond it. Premier teams are the ones who play at higher level hence the ones that take the game more seriously.

I would consider it semi-professional because of that (little) money you can earn from it, the same way you're considered a semi-professional musician if you earn some money with your band, at least that's my point of view.

I don't want to sound arrogant so I'm sorry if it looked like that to you, I'm just exposing my opinion.

I got your point. Thanks for clearing this up. Also i was not especially referring to you with "arrogant" it was just more like a general oberservation. But lets quit this off-topic now.
