Yes, the PDT does not intend to remove lifeform egg drops, but there were some ideas to make them harder to get / more expensive.

Currently gorge and lerk are on Bio 2 with 15/30 TRes cost, Fade and onos on Bio 9 and costing 70/100 TRes, here is a proposed change from rantology.
"Gorge and Lerk eggs are 10 and 30 res respectively, and on biomass 2 and 3. Fade and onos are 70/100 res on biomass 9."
This means both gorge and lerk eggs will be delayed, so you can't rush out a lerk at the start of the game.

This will be very important since we intend to phase out of comp mod, you wouldn't want super easy lifeform drops in matches, right? And again, they do not intend to remove them. If you have ideas for them, please post them here.

What speaks against removing life form eggs from vanilla all together? Especially with the upcoming increased pres gain.

I rarely see comms investing in life form eggs in the first place, but when they do, it's either gorge eggs for arcs or onos eggs to end the game. Both of those things shouldn't be needed with the increased pres gain.

IMO it's too strong to be able to drop lifeform eggs before biomass 6 at the earliest, and it honestly shouldn't be in comp at all. This is a huge buff to aliens that really just covers up poor play / decision making.

The currect Vanilla Values for Eggdrops are:

Gorge_ B2 15 Res
Lerk___ B2 30 Res
Fade___B9 70 Res
Onos___B9 100 Res

And i remember that Fade and onos egg got moved to Biomass9 cause the PDT wasnt happy about it back then.

Maybe Lerk egg should be moved to Biomass 3.
and Fade egg to Biomass 7.


But all this has be tested since:

I would say lerks should be Biomass 4, being able to rush biomass and then get extra lerks up is too strong... you shouldn't be able to drop such an influential lifeform egg pre second hive.

gorge egg on biomass 2 seems fine to me.

fade on 7 biomass would be okay too.

all costs look fine.

Lerk on bio 4 or 5 I would say and gorge on bio 2 or 3. Fade on 7 sounds fine. Same as onos on 9.
